Fort PS

 The exact date of opening of the Fort Police Station is not known. There are no records to show the date of Fort Police Station. The City Police was formed on 15.11.1962.

Till 20.02.1984, Fort Police Station was fuctioning in a Building which was in existence in the premises where the KSRTC Chief office functions now. The station was shifted to building bearing TC No. 39/2186 at Attakulangara on 20.08.84 vide Notification No. GO Rt2293/84 Home, dated 17.08.84.

The statin now gets shifted to Building No. TC 39/2189(i) situated in Survey No. 39/199(part) of Manacaud Village, Thiruvananthapuram on 3.2.93 vide GO Rt. No. 1578/92 Home, dt 30.3.1992 which came into force with effect on and from the 1st April 1992

Jurisdiction details

Fort Polce Station excercised jurisdictin over the villages of Iyranimuttom and parts of Muttathara, Vanchiyoor and chengazhassery villages. A portion of muttathara was transferred to Poonthura Police Station when it was upgraded as Chargin station on 15.11.1962. So also a portion of Chengazhassery village as transferred to Thampanoor Police Station when it was opened on 19.05.1971
