Pettah Circle

Pettah Police Circle has been formed incorporating Vanchiyoor Police Station from Thampanoor Circle and transferring Medical College police station under Medical College Circle Vide GO (NIS) NO. 138 / 94 Home Dated 16.08.1994. Since then Pettah Circle comprises of the jurisdiction of Pettah Police Station and Vanchiyoor Police Station. Prior to that Medical College PS and Pettah PS were under the Pettah Circle.

The office of the CI of Police, Pettah is functioning in first floor of the Pettah Police Station premises in survey No: 141 / 3 of Vanchiyoor Village. The building is a Govt. property.

Jurisdiction details

The Circle has the territorial jurisdiction of Vanchiyoor Police Station and Pettah Police Station. Vanchiyoor Police Station limits commence from Statue junction to Mele Pazhavanagadi. It extends to Vallakadavu junction. Towards southwest from Vallakadavu it extend towards Karali and Chakkai Bridge in the west. From Chakkai Bridge it goes to General Hospital junction and Statue one-way road towards the east, with an exception of the boundary from Pettah bridge to Ambalathumukku railway line. It falls with in Vanchiyoor Village and part of Pettah Village.

Pettah police station limits goes to the road up to Ophthalmic Hospital towards east via Kannammola Bridge, Moolavilakom and from Kannammmoola to Akkulam canal towards northwest up to the high way Akkulam Bridge and from their it extends to Veli Bridge in the west. From Veli, the jurisdiction extends up to Ambalathumukku towards southeast. Jurisdiction of Pettah Police station comprises of portion of Vanchiyoor Village,Pettah Village and Kadakampally Village.
